PROJECT DESCRIPTION

2020 New Zealand Architecture Award winning – ‘Stevens Lawson Architects’ house designed over 3 levels and built using a combination of materials.

Masonry foundation walls forming the basement/garage with rib and timber suspended slab over and slab on grade forming the remainder. Timber and steel frames forming the upper 2 levels to achieve the open spaces with a mix of brick and timber cladding. Steel braced frames providing the lateral system to the mid floor. The upper floor level overlooks a stone lined roof.

Special features included a mid-level roof with a layer of loose pebbles over, spiral stair, custom fireplace hearths and off the form concrete landscaped retaining walls.
