PINNACLE EARLY LEARNING CENTRE

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This purposely designed early learning and childcare centre has been design by renowned Studio Pacific Architects. The delivery of the space was overseen by Cook brothers Construction.

The tall vaulted ceilings provide a light filled learning area. The structural design of the space required consideration of additional parameters, the ethos of the Ministry of Education guidelines for the design of schools was adopted for the seismic design which resulted in the provision of a combination portal frames and shear walls to brace the structure. The selected systems were to complement the fire and acoustic requirements which were of extreme importance to the client.

The heavy weight bagged brick cladding has discrete horizontal breaks and tying at strategic locations. The result is a resilient building that is ideally suited to purpose and is provided in harmony with it environment.
